Can't Imagine A Hypothetical Upside To External HD Encryption

I'm looking for an external HD that DOES NOT USE ENCRYPTION. Just want to drag and drop some non sensitive files. Privacy is not remotely needed for my uses and would cause problems if/when the drive fails. Just got a WD that has Hardware encryption. Gonna be returning that. When I do, what should I get instead?

Buy an internal HDD which doesn't have encryption and put it into an external enclosure.

Here's an example of a USB 3.0 external enclosure that supports drives up to 2TB in capacity. You can do additional research yourself for other makes and models. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817388032
