I just built a new system and have a ssd and hard drive. The ssd is working fine but the hard drive will not initialize. I checked the connections and everything is plugged in. When I go into disk management it shows up as disk 1 but is not showing any storage in the hard drive. When I right click and try to initialize it says the system cannot find the file specified. I tried mbr and gpt. While the PC was getting put together the hard drive fell off the table and landed on the bottom so I'm think that's the reason i cant initialize. Would it be because I dropped it or is it something else that's wrong? Please help because if it's something wrong with the hard drive I'll just return it and get another one.
