Can't install any utilities; Asus Maximus VII Hero

Even though I have Windows 7 64 bit, no matter what I try I can't install any of the utilities that comes with the motherboard. It gives me the error; "Support only vista and above."

I tried installing them from the disc and I have tried downloading them from the website, I get the samething, then I tried installing them by changing the compatibility to run them as Windows 7 and Vista (SP1 and 2) both gave me the same error. I am guessing the problem has something to do with my registry but I don't know much about regedit.

I am at a loss so I was hoping someone could give me some insight.

Given a valid official Win 7 install, there is zero reason why that should not work.

Which is why I am confused, the thing is when I first got the motherboard the utilities could be installed without problems, I uninstalled them a while ago since I wasn't using them but now that I would like to use them now, they just won't.

Sounds like some kind of update is missing from the OS.

That is going to be tough to see which one is the cause.

Edit: I have all updates, maybe there was an update that got screwed during the install though who knows.
