Can't Install Microsoft Office 2007 On Windows XP

When i try and install microsoft office home and student 2007 on a windows xp machine with service pack 3, It comes up with Microsoft home and student encountered a error during setup

Have you had previous versions installed? Sometimes a 'fix it' application to clean away all the remnants can get around that error with a fresh install. See link for the application: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971179
