Cant install microsoft office 2010 on computer with Windows Vista operating syst

i have tried unsuccessfully to install Microsoft office on my computer. it is telling me that my operating system is not compatible, I have Windows Vista. what do I do to get this to work?

Do you have the service packs for the OS installed?

Go to Start, then my computer , then system properties.

I am looking at that section and see nothing about "service packs. " i have the 32 bit Windows Vista Home Premium

2. Properties
3. Under Windows Edition, Service Pack installed will be listed.
