Hello, I hope that someone can help me please.

Yesterday I did a clean install of windows 10, installed some drivers and did windows update.
Now I notice that some drivers are missing and I don't know how to fix it.
I tried to reinstall the MEI drivers, but it says "fatal error during installation".

Here are the pics that show the yellow warnings:

Please bare with me, my level with computers is basic.

Cpu: Intel Core i5 4570 (3.2GHz) Socket 1150
Motherboard: Asus B85M-G
Monitor: LG 22MN430M-B IPS 21.5" FHD 16:9 75Hz FreeSync - 22MN430

Thank you for reading.

Some drivers? Which ones did you install? Specifically, did you installed chipset drivers ver 10.1.1.13 (here) before installing MEI?
Thank you for replying.

These are the ones I installed, in the same order:

The ones in red didn't install though.
Turns out that I didn't had the drivers that you sent, so they weren't installed. I did however installed the "Intel-Driver-and-Support-Assistant-Installer", and said that everything was up to date.

I installed windows7 (cause that's the cd I have) on a clean disk, and I couldn't install a few drivers because it required system updates (netframe and sp1). And since windows update was discontinued in win7, I couldn't update.
The ones that I remember didn't install were Intel Graphics, Mei and BIOS_updater_for_Gen_4th_Intel_Core_CPU.
So I upgraded to windows 10. After the upgrade windows update installed intel graphics.
But I still can't install Mei and BIOS_updater_for_Gen_4th_Intel_Core_CPU.

You upgraded to Windows 10. Make sure you have gone to Microsoft.com and have a registration key for that account. Follow directions to make a USB Windows 10 installer, it'll require the Media Creation Tool.

Once you have that USB with a clean copy of Just Win10 (not the Win7 to 10 updater), start Windows install fresh.

The Win7 to Win10 was fine back in the day, but is no longer supported media now, Win10 is free to download from Microsoft, the only thing you need is the registration key, which is stored and applied by Microsoft.

Sounds very much like you are getting version conflicts and the stuff in Win7 isn't translating over to Windows 10 because Windows 10 itself has changed since the updater was released, the new version of Windows follows after the Creators Edition, which had major driver issues.

BIOS_updater_for_Gen_4th_Intel_Core_CPU.
This you don't need, as well as the AOHelp - they are utilty programs, not drivers.
You will not be able to install MEI until you install chipset drivers that I linked in my previous post. Btw if you were downloading drivers from Asus page, then you have to click "Show all" under Chipset category to see all drivers, otherwise you see only MEI and not chipset driver.

I installed the previous linked drivers, and MEI still fails to install.
So should I do a clean install of everything again?

Thank you about the "show all" on asus site, I didn't knew that.

The problem is that I don't have a registration key. Would windows 10 still work normally without one?
If I just install the free versions without a registration key ?

Can you show how Device Manager looks now after chipset driver is installed? (if any different)

Win 10 works completely fine without registration key. AFAIK if you had activated Win 7 and upgraded to Win 10 then Win 10 will stay activated even after clean Win 10 install.

Looks like this now:

Yes, win10 is activated but Karadigne mentioned to do a clean install, instead of an upgrade. And win7 was running activated with a "patch".

If you had a win7 registration key, usually found on the box cover of the win7 disc, or on the manual, and plugged that in, at the time of first conversion to Win10 you'd have been asked to log into your Microsoft account. Microsoft will have automatically converted your win7 key to a Win10 key and you'd have a Microsoft stored registration. That doesn't go away, it's yours, Microsoft has it.

I understand that, but I don't have a registry key, I have a patch for a pirate copy.
So, if I do a clean win10 install, it won't be activated.

What if I do the same method. Install win7, install no drivers or anything, and upgrade to win10. And only after, I will install win10 drivers. Could that work? Or it will still be bonky?

Tom's Hardware policy is to not help with "patched", hacked, pirated, or other copies of windows. Win 10 is free to download and use from MS website and a clean install is likely to fix all your upgraded issues with no cost to you. Closing now as that's all the advice you need.
