cant install my 1070 on my z77 extreme 4 motherboard

Hi , i cant install my gtx 1070 asus rog strix on my z77 extreme 4 motherboard , because when i try to install the gpu the golden line or what ever is that , is longer then the input in my motherboard , before i bought the gpu i read a lot and i was sure its a 100% compatible .

Their both perfectly compatible with each other. And itll fit in the slot unless its being put in wrong.
Make sure the back io on the gpu goes through the case back fully then try to snap into place. Sometimes that can block it.

Those PCI-E slots are standardized. 1070 fits into the same slot as any other PCI-E slot. Perhaps there is a plastic covering on your PCI connector on your card? It should be compatible.
