I recently bought a brand new Kingston SSD to replace my old hard drive, but it's not working. When I plug everything in and turn on the computer, I get an error message saying Operating System is not detected and tells me to reboot. Tried rebooting multiple times, but it doesn't work. BIOS is able to detect the drive, but that's about it. I can't get past the error message.

Intel Core i5-4670K CPU 3.40 GHz

You need to set your boot option to your DVD drive rather than your hard drive. Boot Menu is usually going to be either F9, F10, or F11 on the screen before the Windows logo usually comes up.

So turn your computer off, and smash the F9 key as you turn it on, and you should get a menu asking what device you want to boot from. Select your DVD drive.

If you bought an SSD and are trying to boot from it without installing anything on it, then of course it does not work.

You will have to insert some Windows install media like a DVD or USB drive, and install Windows directly on to the SSD before it can boot.
