Hi Guys,

a little help will be great as I really wanna play division soon!

So I just bought a new ssd. And heres my current build.

Intel i7 4790
noctua LH-12
asrock Z97m anniversary edition
kingston 1866mhz 8gb
samsung 850 evo 500gb ssd
WD green 4TB
Zotac 970 4gb ( well 3.5gb)
seasonic G semi mod 550

and I cant seem to install windows as this always happen pop up always shows when I start the install.

Heres the message

" a media driver your computer needs is missing. This could be a dvd, usb, or a hard disk driver. If you have a cd, usb or dvd with the driver in it, please insert it now."

" no device drivers were found. Make sure the installation media contains the correct driver then click okay."

I have changed where the usb is inserted from, usb 3.0 and 2.0 and still no avail. even during the 1rst pop up message. When I search for the usb media tool, message 2 will always pop up.

Thanks guys.

PS. Sorry I prematurely posted the query without the message. Using my phone to ask you guys. Cheers and thanks

Solution
wait, do you just want to install win 10 on ssd and its already on the HDD?

download win 10 from https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/software-download/windows10
use that to create a install usb or dvd.
change bios to boot off which ever you made

detach power from your hdd and then run the installer, otherwise it will just want to install on old hdd
once wiun 10 is on ssd, reattach power to old drive. You may want to delete this old install one day.

you can do last part without detaching power but its just easier this way. Less chance of accidentally deleting all your files.

you should have got 64bit version...at least then you use a little more of that 4gb and maybe even get more and be able to use it.

power off the pc..unplug the sata data cable to the hard drive for now so windows installer wont see the other drive. in the bios make sure secure boot is off. use a 8g usb stick and windows media creation tool to make a windows 10 usb stick. boot from the stick from a usb 2.0 port. when it asks for a windows key hit skip if your pc already has a digital key. install it to the ssd. make sure the ssd has no partions if it does go into windows installer advance mode remove all of the partions and then restart the install. windows will install the files and reboot on reboot remove the usb stick to finish windows 10 install.

are you still getting the same error? I should have linked you this: http://www.thewindowsclub.com/the-drive-where-windows-is-installed-is-locked

no, that is wrong error... hmm, i have seen that error recently.. watch this space

can try it this way:
The solution that fixed my problem:

1. Using Disk Management, delete the current partition from the flash drive.

2. Create a new partition (NTFS) and format it.

3. Right click on the partition, and Mark as Active.

4. Transfer the contents of the Windows 8 .iso file onto the flash drive.

https://whobleepingcares.wordpress.com/2013/07/21/how-i-fixed-the-error-a-media-driver-your-computer-needs-is-missing/

which is actually very similar to my 1st link so perhaps it would work. Also, naturally swap 8 for 10.

here is same solution used for same error on win 8: http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1742328/windows-installation-missing-media-driver-problem.html

can't have windows stopping u playing a game :)
