Can't install USB Windows 8.1 because of clean raw disks

Hello,

I reset an HP Pavillion x2 to completely blank factory settings as the registry was corrupted.
I have windows 8.1 on a bootable USB.

I cannot install this because my disk drives are everywhere and unallocated and I can only access command prompt, so I have to manually partition /allocate / set things, which I am not familiar with.

So far in list disk I have:

Disk 0 | Online | 119GB size | 0b Free | no value Dyn | no value Gpt
Disk 1 | Online | 29GB size | 0b Free | no value | no value

I know I need to create a primary partition but when I followed some online guides I ended up making them into MBR, which was not an 'installable' format for the USB.

Then I converted it to GPT but it still doesn't work. I tried to format it into FAT32 but it said the size was too big.

If there is any help on what to type into this command console I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you,

Wendy

I would the the drive options link then delete all the existing partitions. Once the entire drive is empty/raw select it and click next and see if that works.
If that also fails then you will need to test the drive as there may be damage to it.

If your laptop has a graphical bios that you navigate with your mouse, you may need to press the fkey that corresponds to 'select boot device' during POST and select the UEFI usb flash drive option instead of just booting off the usb that you might be used to.

When I launch Windows Setup, it asks me: Where do you want to install Windows?

The only item on the list of course is Drive 0 Unallocated SPace, size 199GB, type unspecified.

Then when I hit the next button, windows will begin to install. It'll be fine for a few minutes and then it'll say: WIndows cannot install required files. Make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation.

However, I know the files on the USB are fine as I've used those to install on another computer.
