I am having trouble updating my PC. When I click "Check for Updates" it detects 3 updates; One for a Cumulative Update, one for Adobe Flash, and another for Feature Upeate 1709. On one attempt, I got Error 80080008. For all of my other attempts, I've just been stuck with an infinite "Initializing...".

Things I've tried:

- Restart Windows Update service

- Renaming folders associated with Windows Update

- The "dism.exe" command in cmd, I forget the rest of the command but one time I got an error, my other attempts trying I got stuck at a percentage

- Installing the update in "Diagnostic Mode"

Any other suggestions besides what I've already tried would be great!

Thanks in advance.

Sorry I forgot to update this post. I ended up downloading "Windows Upgrade Assisstant" from Microsoft and it downloaded with no problem. It did take a few hours though.

I kept getting error 0x800704c7.

Command prompt (run as admin). Type sfc /scannow.

It found 0 errors when I ran it, but the update worked afterwards. But seriously fk this update. Read my newest post.
