Hi. I'm trying to install windows 7. It asks me to choose a partition to install on (i have 3 HDs plugged in) but no matter which partition i choose, it always says the installation was cancelled. The following error message pops up:

"The file or directoryBoot\BCD.log1 is corrupt and unreadable. Please run the chkdsk utility."

From the installation disk i went into cmd and typed chkdsk, it posted some text but didn't solve the problem

Does anyone have any ideas on how i can install windows so i can use my computer again? Thanks all.

Try deleting the partitions recreating a partition again and then re-formatting the Hard drive

Thanks guys, you nailed it. The error must have been coming from one of the hard drives, even if i chose to install on a different drive. removing that bad HD solved the problem. Thank you all very much!
