Alright, so there is this issue that I'm having, and it's very upsetting. I have a Drive 0 (Not located in Bios) with only 14.9GB's. I also have the HDD (465.8GB's) that is located in my bios and is also known as Disk 1. However, every time I try and install Windows, the system files (100MB) installs on Drive 0, and Windows installs onto Drive 1. And for some reason, it is not recognizing a BOOTMGR. Because every time I do this, it loads a Black Screen saying it can't recognize the BootMGR. PLEASE HELP!

I have no idea how to make this happen. Because I try turning the 14.9 GB offline. Then I goto install from Drive 1; and it doesn't want to install. It says it can't create a Systems Partition onto it or something. Which doesn't make sense, if there was a way to change it to Drive 0, then I would love to know how.
Thanks for your quick response.

[EDIT] I also forgot to mention that this is a Samsung Laptop. Which is probably the reason why I'm having these error's.

Yes, actually Windows 7 was installed prior, and not paying attention to how many partitions and what partitions were available. I just went ahead and erased/formatted all the drives available. Not thinking this would ever be the case, since I have a custom built PC; I never had this issue in my life messing with computers, and now I do. Unnerving.

It does seem to have two physical drives.
I can't seem to get rid of this 14.9 GB Drive (Drive 0)
Because every time I install Windows, it HAS to put System Reserved Files onto it.
So I have no idea. But it will not show up in my BIOS.
And it can't fully install windows 7 onto this Drive 0 because there isn't quite enough space to do so.

I have no thoughts to fix this, except somehow maybe in CMD I need to completely turn off this Drive 0, making the 500GB drive become 0, and another quick thing, what is Dynamic and Basic Drives?

[Question]
If Drive 0 contains the BootMGR, and Drive 1 contain the Windows Files.
Is it possible to make it boot in this form?

1 physical drive (in BIOS), one hidden manufacturer partion (drive 0), one system partion (drive 1).

Puzzled as to why windows tries to install to the hidden partion. Just selecting 'custom' and then the 500gb partion for installation should dp the trick.

If you dont mind wiping the drive, select 'custom' - 'advanced drive options' delete both partions, click 'new' create a partion and then select that as the install target. to repeat THIS WILL WIPE YOUR DRIVE AND DELETE ALL YOUR DATA. PERMANENTLY

I have been doing this all day Stuart72 LOL.
To be honest I'm very sure that I was sure myself.
Very puzzling. I don't know what to do. I tried looking online for various answers, and the actual reason for doing this was to install the Windows 10 Tech Preview, since I actually love the damn Tech Preview of Windows 10. It's great, and I have it on my Desktop. And I was just wanting it on my Laptop as well.

Also, I can't create a Systems Reserved Partition on the 500GB Drive 1. For some reason it isn't allowing me to. It tells me especially when I go to turn Drive 0 offline. And then I go to Install Windows 7 with the 500GB (only one Online); and it says NO! Can't create a systems reserved partition file on this drive. LOL I don't get it! And that is what has me all <Mod Edit> up. The partition is fine. I did the chkdisk thing as well. Took forever btw, and it was fine.

there is a recovery / reinstallation partion (the small one) on your laptop to reover / reinstall the original OS. This boots first, if you hit a key (usually f11/f10/f something) it'll boot the mnaufacturer recovery environment, if not it will move on to the original os. So the little partion is the boot partion, hence i imagine win 7's insistence on installing there. Not sure how to stop this, other than to detete both partions as i said.

If there was a solution in this form, then it has been deleted and formatted a few times over and over, and probably doesn't exist any longer. The issue is that it's creating the System Reserved onto Drive 0 ITaking the form of C:\ ) and Windows installs onto Drive 1, in the form of D:\ and I can't imagine what the heck is going on..

So to be clear, you HAVE deleted both partions and installed win 7. Windows 7 then creates the 16gb partion, installs some system recovery files there and installs the OS to the 465Gb partion?

No, drive 0 is the 14.9GB's. I delete it and it is now Unallocated.
And drive 1 is the 500GB's. I delete that and create New with this drive. And it then create's a System Reserved (100MB) from Drive 0's unallocated space.

I kind of went passed that part now. Sorry for the late reply, I reformatted my USB to install Windows 10 Tech Preview.
And I have it installed, and now it's all correct, now Windows 10 is installed on Drive 0 which is now (500GB's).
However, it's creating a System Reserve on Drive 1.
Now it won't boot up, and it just goes into a Loop of Restarts.
Hmmmmmmmmmmmm........

[EDIT] Also the Drive 1 is now the 14.9GB Disk. Not sure why it doesn't show in BIOS.

Drive 0 is now my 500GB HDD.
Drive 1 is an unknown (when I say unknown, I mean it is not located in the bios whatsoever) and it's consisted of 14.9GB's.

Now I'm having a Boot Loop.
Because I installed Windows 10 and something just isn't right, because I can't get the System Reserve Files on Drive 0 when I go to install it, and therefor I don't think it can read from drive 0 to boot from drive 0. Because the bootmngr is in Drive 1! UGH! LOL Can't for the life of me figure this out.
