Can't install windows 7

Hi,

I'm new in this forum, and I need some assistance with an issue that I have with my laptop. Correct me if i'm doing something wrong.
I have a Toshiba Satellite L45D-C4203W With Windows 8.1 pre-installed.
i bought my computer a year ago. recently, it was working really slow.
so, i tried to refresh the hard drive disk. but it got stuck in a black screen. so i turned it off sudenly.
i made a mistake, because when i turned it on, Windows 8.1 did not launch.
i tried to turn it on in safe mode but it did´t work either.
I also tried to format the hard drive disk but it got stuck. beside that, I tried to reinstall windows 8.1 and 7 but nothing happened.

what else can I do in this case? I really appreciate your assistance. I'm so far of being an expert with the computer.

Did you boot from dvd or flash drive when you tried to install 8.1 and Win7??

I tried both, but It didn't recognize the dvd, just the flash drive.

I downloaded Windows 8.1 from the Microsoft Official page.

But windows 8.1 it's not pirated

You probably need to check you user manual. i know on Dells if F12 at the Boot Logo, not sure what it is on toshibas

Your problem is "Can't Install Windows 7" and you pirated Windows 7.

Win 7 works great when you pay for it. Or install the license you do own.
