Just finished my first build and trying to install windows 8.1 with the disk that came with it. My computer doesn't have an optical drive but I am using an apple usb super drive connected to usb for the disk.
In boot priority in bios I set it to boot from the disk first and when I put it into my laptop it recognizes the disk so thats not the problem.
But basically no matter what I do, after I save and exit it just goes back to the reboot and select proper boot device thing.
Motherboard is Z97M-DS3H
