I used to have my windows on my old hdd, so i bought an ssd. I lost my windows disk so i decided to do it with a usb. I disconnected my hdd and only had my ssd hooked. When i start the install everything goes fine until it says it wants to reboot. After that it begins at the beginning as if nothing happened, and i can't boot from my SSD either. but when i put back my old hdd and boot from there i can see windows on the other disk. I also tried things with the uefi and something like windows 8.1/10 WHQL (Didn't really know what that meant) without luck

My motherboard is a z170a gaming m5
SSD is samsung 250 gb evo

Sometimes the win 10 installer does that, it will restart and then start running the installation process again. What I would suggest is restart the install (remove hdd first) and when it gets to step 14 here (https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/1950-clean-install-windows-10-a.html) remove USB and see if it continues installing windows 10.

I don't know why it does this, but it is fairly common. You can't boot from windows as the install isn't finished yet
