can't install windows xp

now my laptop is can't install windows xp 64 bit . . .when i boot i get blue screen error .. i try different windows xp CD but still can't . . . however i can install windows 7 from CD . . only can't xp

Why would you want to install XP? That died early this year. It's no longer supported, unpatchable , and unsafe. Sounds like your laptop is trying to protect itself! The rise if the machines has begun.

because my laptop is slow .. and i only use laptop for browsing and download .. that why i want install back xp . . i think xp is simple and more good for me

7B stops are driver related. In this case I'd wager that the hardware is too new for the XP installer. You don't want XP x64 anyway, it's based on Server 2003 and had very limited hardware support.

I'm guessing that the first thing you will need is an XP64-bit driver for the SATA controller in your laptop. Good luck with that!

That assumes that your laptop is not so ancient that it has an IDE hard drive. If it is that old I would say the chances that it has a 64-bit processor are about 0.1%. If you are really worried about peformance you would be better off installing some variety of Linux. It will work just fine and will support the simple tasks that you mention.

Of course, a few details of the laptop in question would probably elicit more meaningful answers.

Windows 7. (Actually, Windows 8.1 would be best.)

XP64 won't support your hard disk or your graphics display, which explains why it wouldn't work.

Your big problem will be in finding the driver that you need.
