Can't install windows

I have tried to help my friend fix his pc.
He cant get past "windows is loading files" part, right at the start of install progress.
Linux works, at least as a live version.


We have tried:
Changing install dvd's and usb sticks
Changing ram
Changing HDD
Changing mobo
Updating bios

His specs
FX-8350
2x4gb 1600mhz DDR3 ram
gigabyte GTX 970
4(?) HDD's 200-1000gb
m5a97r2.0 mobo

I'm out of ideas what to do
Does anyone know how to get his pc working?

Get rid of Linux and try again.
