Hey there,
I just reclaced mb/cpu in my system:
Asus A7v8x-x
AMD Sempron 2400+
I've tried to load w2k and xp and they both complain about corrupt files- in xp's case it is mraid35x.sys that halts the os install. I've updated the bios to the latest version, i've fdisk'ed the HD, and I am quite sure that the source disk (xp) is good.
can anyone help me?
thanks

If it is a burned disc I'd try either making a copy of it or copying a new one. I just keep an image of my xp cd on my computer bec I have an uncanny ability to kill cds... lol
I always get a message similar to that when my xp disc wears out :)
Also, If you are loading drivers for a raid device off a floppy I'd replace the floppy/the drivers on it.

Could be during install, Win copies files to the hard disk, and if it is curropt, then the corrupt files message shows.
Delete partition of disk, and reformat.
