Question Cant join a group because it is full. help!!!

Hey guys I hope you all are doing alright.
Well been wanting to join a whatsapp group for days now, it says it has like 398 members and I have tried to join it for days now and it always sends me the same message "Cant join the group because it is full" , it happens with every single group that has many members, odd thing comes when a friend tried and let him in sooo easily it is frustrating, he has at least entered and left the group 5 times lol.
Why could this happen and only to me? is it my whatsapp broken?
Oh I got an invite and contacted an admin and he sent me a screenshot that said "Couldnt add the user to the group" like wuttt?

Max group size meant to be 512 now. It is slowly being rolled out but as previous size was 256, I have to guess there is another reason

Then you need to talk to whatsapp. There's literally nothing that anyone here can do for you (unless there's someone who works for whatsapp customer support).
