I and my brother are using a same IP. My PC is a direct connect to the router while my brother is using WIFI. I created a Homegroup, have the password. Then, my brother try to join it, typed in the password. It said, join successfully. However, only I can access my brother user file through my PC, not the other way around. When my brother tries to click into the Homegroup, it says no one is currently in Homegroup. I'm not good in network field. Can anyone help? Thank you.

Edit: It says "No other homegroup computers are currently available."

What do you mean you are using the same IP? As in you have the exact same IP address set manually for both computers? That won't work.

Or are you just on the same IP range like you are both 192.168.1.x but x is two different numbers for your two computers?

If your IP address are unique, make sure you have only one firewall running and that you did not set strict rules for it. You can also try to remove the homegroup and try again, and make sure you have the network location set to Home for both computers.
