Hi, I have serious problem. I have had Windows 8 installed on my Seagate drive - it's ES 320GB. It ran without no problems. But whn I moved the whole configuration to a new case it couldn't boot in AHCI mode - only in IDE compatibility. My mobo is ASUS P5K-E/Wifi AP. I've got SSD Samsung 840 Pro. I've done clone to this SSD using EASEUS Partition Master and now I dont hear sounds from the Seagate :) . Problem is that I can't enable it to run on AHCI. Will Refresh help me, or maybe reset, or do a clean install? Thank you.

I've fixed it. The trick was to go to registry and change values in both storahci and iastorv in

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\storahci\StartOverride
"0": DWORD = 0

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\storahci
"Error Control": DWORD = 0
