Can't launch from DVD drive to install Windows?

I have burned the Windows iso file onto a disc with 5GB of space. When I hit F12 when the computer starts up I select launch from optical drive/dvd drive, but it just loads windows normally and dumps me onto the lock screen.

Help.

Mmm...do you have the ability to change the boot settings in the bios? select the dvd drive as the first for boot order.

You didn't by any chance just burn (copy) the ISO to the DVD did you (ie like burning an ordinary file)?
