I changed the boot options in msconfig to safe mode with networking, to boot up in safe mode to change my password using built in administrator (I log in using a finger print reader and forgot my password). When it booted up in safe mode, it went to the only account active with admin rights (the one I don't know the password for) and now I can't get in to change MSconfig to boot normally to log in with the finger print reader. I can't even get into to safe with command prompt because it seems to keep going to the mode I chose in MSconfig. Is there anything I can do to fix this without having to reinstall the OS?

It is a violation of the forum rules to provide information on bypassing passwords/security. The method posted should not have been and we cannot help you with it.

Have you tried setting it to boot normally via F8? why would you ever set it to safemode with msconfig?
I tried the method you suggested, but when i got to the part where you copy sethc.exe to C:\ it said that the system cannot find the path specified. I'm at a loss.
