Earlier today I was able to log in to the settings. But I couldn't configure anything. So I chose to reset from the settings panel. Now I can't even log in anymore.

I have the following:

Router: Linksys WRT54G
Modem: Cisco EPC3925
My ISP is Stofanet (https://stofa.dk/)
This is my hardware:
CPU: Intel Core i5-4670 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H87-D3H ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Video Card: Asus GeForce GTX 780 3GB Video Card
Power Supply: Cooler Master VSM 650W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (OEM) (64-bit)

I've tried resetting router, just can't log in anymore whatsoever.

If you've reset it to factory...

From Linksys:
How to Access the Web-Based Utility
To access the web-based utility, launch the web browser on
your computer, and enter the Router’s default IP address,
192.168.1.1 in the Address field.
Then, press Enter .
A password request screen will appear. (Non-Windows XP
users will see a similar screen.)
Leave the User name field blank. The first time you open the Web-based utility, use
the default password admin.

(You can set a new password
from the Administration tab’s
Management screen.)
Click OK to continue.

I am noob, but I don't feel I'm that retarded. Something is going on here. I hold the reset button on the linksys router for 20 seconds, and when I get back to the pc the IP is STILL 192.168.87.1. I enter this into the URL and but can't login with any combination whatsoever, tried with everyone I could find on the internet and manuals etc.. The modem on the other hand is not mine. I don't understand why it keeps being 192.168.87.1

OK...I think we need a clearer picture of your setup.

There is a modem, that is not under your control.
There is a Linksys router, which is under your control.

What specifically are you trying to do? What settings are you trying to alter?

Exactly, USAFRet! I am trying to configure my router settings. After resetting, as it is now, anyone can log on to my Wifi through the linksys router. But I can't access the settings anymore, because no combination of username and password work after typing 192.168.87.1 in to the URL. I am connected to the router with an Ethernet Cable

If you reset the Linksys router to factory specs (hold the button in for the specified amount of time....192.168.87.1 should not enter into the picture.
192.168.1.1

You know what. I think I have to contact my ISP. I can't seem to reset the IP. It must be because they don't allow it. The modem is theirs. I have to apply for them to reset it. Earlier today, when I had access, I couldn't change any of the settings. It must be because of this
