Can't manage to log into Ubee cable modem

I factory reset my Ubee cable modem yesterday thinking it would be an open network and that I could also log in easily to just configure everything, but I am unable to find the wifi password and can't manage to get the log in either for the 192.168.1.1 page. I am using a Ubee DVW32D cable modem and it says it is part of the DVW324 series. I really need to get logged into the main page so that I can change the password and network name to what I would like.

I googled "Ubee modem defaults".

First link stated the default Username and password to be "user". IP address is 192.168.0.1

Try those. If not, google accordingly.

I've tried admin/admin, root/root, admin/1234, and all the others that I saw in the lists that came up. Is it possible that even though I factory reset it that the cable company have it programmed to always go to a set password?

Meaning "user"did not work....

Possible: Did the cable company provide a User Guide/Manual?

You could also call their support line and ask.

this modem belong to the isp so you wont be able to change anything .

Scout_03 has a very good point.

The only way to know is to call your ISP and ask. If you cannot reset and fully reconfigure the modem then request a replacement.

Interesting but not sure that I understand the relationship between the default user/password options and the CA.

Again if your modem is not working and you cannot gain access to configure the modem for your network - call the ISP.
