Question Cant mixed two different rams

Hi...i have a compaq pressario cq3520ix.I have recently upgrade my processor from intel hhbduo e5800 to core2 quad q8300. With my old processor i was using 4gb ram of different speed. One is 800mhz and othr is 1333mhz...both working fine but aftr the upgrade the ram of speed 1333 cant get mixed with the other. The ram with 800mhz works fine. Both ram are of 2gb. If mixed the cpu doesnt boot and makes a beep sound. Plzz suggest any solution.thnks in advnc

Check and see if you have any BIOS updates pending? I'm also not a fan of mixing and matching rams. Speaking of rams, mind sharing a picture of both sticks of ram? Ideally you should be working with two identical sticks of DDR3-1333MHz rams rated to run at 1.65v.
