So hello guys, recently i build my first PC. I have it from about 2 mounts and i want to oc my processor. I mange to OC it in the BIOS to 3.9 just by changing the core clock and noting else. Core voltage is on auto(1.36v). On cinebench everything was fine. Then i wanted to go for 4.0hz so i type "40.00" and core voltage was still on auto(this time 1.40v). So i run cinebench but crashed. Im using cinebench R15 but if i run R20 it crash on 3.9ghz too. Can you gays give me a advice how to OC save to 4.0hz or just my cpu is bad? (mobo B450)

Solution
If it loaded windows but only crashed during the benchmark then you are half-way there. You probably just need more voltage do to a higher leakage chip. Keep bumping it until you can't cool it.

What is your full system specs including make and model of psu and cpu cooler?

What were your temperatures during the cinebench run? Not all chips can do 4ghz either.
My PC spec:
cpu: R5 2600
cpu cooler: Arctic freezer 33 e-sport one
gpu: MSI Gaming X 1660 Ti
ram: balistix kit 8gb(soon 16) 2666ghz
mobo: MSI B450 bazooka v2
psu: Corsair CX550M
My temps on cinebench whit 3.9ghz was 69.3c max
