cant open adobe reader to studyguides

hi,im looking for some help,i have tried to install adobe reader on my computer,when i do it says that ''i can't open my studyguides''.i have tried to us default programs it didnt work.please help me figure this out.

What type of file is the "studyguides"...Ex. rar

it is an online college course that im trying to open.

What ur6beersaway is asking is what type of file is it? For example if it is an Adobe Acrobat file it will have the extension .pdf. If it has an .rar or .zip extension then it is a compressed or zipped file that needs to be uncompressed or unzipped before you can open it. Is the study guide to be read online or did you have to download the study guide?
