Question Can't open computer icon and control panal on desktop while my computer has a virus which changes folders to .exe extension.

Firstly i got a virus in my computer which changed my folders to .exe extension. Due to virus i am not able to run regedit, msconfig, task manager, etc. I am only able to open commond prompt. I am not able to open any folder which ends with.exe.
Second, my antivirus showed that explorer.exe folder contains virus so i deleted that folder. After that when i went to desktop and double click on computer icon and control panel, explorer.exe dialog box popup showing server execution failed.
Please help me!!

Hey thank you it solved my virus problem but "server excution failed" problem is still there.

After such bad infestation it's bound to have some bad aftereffects. Try running these two things in Command Prompt (Admin)
sfc /scannow and
dism /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup /ResetBase

Both of them are not working and sfc /scannow is so slow that it does 8% scanning in 10 minutes. Second one is showing error:87

try reinstalling over top of existing installation with 'save data and programs'...

failing that, you'll soon be deleting partition/reinstalling from scratch....
