I was under the impression this CPU wasn't locked. When I go into my Gigabyte Bios which i just updated to the latest f8, I can press + or - to change the name but the voltage stays the same. For example it will change from "auto .95v" to "1.00 .95v" Double clicking auto does nothing. When I go to the EZ OC section it tells me "Not available here". My motherboard is a z270P d-3. I've tried looking overclock reviews of this cpu and haven't found anything. Thanks for the help.

Thanks for that checkup, however I have downloaded Intel Extreme Tuning Utility. This has allowed me to put the core voltage to 1 from .9ish. I have put it under a 20 minute stress test and passed. So I increased the voltage, is that technically all I to classify as an overclock or just a waste of electricty. Thanks.
