can't overclock higher than the turbo boost frequency (3.9 ghz)

i have an i5-6600k which i should be able to overclock, but i cannot set the cpu clock ratio higher than 3.9 ghz in the BIOS. could it be my motherboard (ga-h110m-s2h btw)? or am i doing something wrong?

nothing wrong, it your motherboard. get a z170 mobo if you want to overclock

You need a Z170 motherboard to overclock, H110, H170 and B150 boards will lock your multiplier even if you have an unlocked CPU.
