Can't pair 2 x 4GB 1866 sticks with 2 x4GB 1600 sticks in H97 board

hey guys! I just got some 2 x 4GB 1866 gskill Ripjaws X. I thought the H97 would automatically scale it down to 1600mhz if paired with my existing 2 x 4GB 1600 gskill Ripjaws X. It didn't. I enabled XMP and also manually set the speed to 1600 but I'm still having problems making it work. I'm having BSOD and no boots.

If anyone can help manually setting the timing for the 1866 sticks, that would be great.

Mixing RAM sticks is always a crapshoot. Sometimes, no amount of messing with it will make it work.
