I'm currently building a a new system and cannot get it to POST. I am using an Asus TUF B550m + Wi-Fi board and upon boot the DRAM QLED is on the whole time and nothing will display.

I know that the RAM is functional because I've been using it in another motherboard and it works perfectly.

So as I've read online this isn't too uncommon and a BIOS Flashback is a possible solution to my problem. I believe I have formatted the USB drive exactly as instructed with only the .cap file on it, when I hold down the Flashback button, the green LED does not continue flashing for longer than about 3 seconds. It goes back to solid colour.

Because of this I am under the assumption that it is not updating the BIOS because the system still continues not to POST and with the same DRAM problem.

One issue with me testing the motherboard is I do not have a basic heatsink to test bench it, I have watercooling blocks and hardline tubing installed and basically need everything plugged in, inside the case to run the loop.

I am open to ANY ideas as to how to fix this, off the motherboard could be faulty but I do not have another AMD CPU to test it.

Full list of components (that matter I think):
Asus TUF Gaming B550m WiFi
AMD Ryzen 5600x OEM
G Skill Z RGB 4x8GB 3600mhz
Asus Strix 2080 super

Did you rename the CAP file using the provided utility before copying it to the flash drive?

Did you reset CMOS after the flash update?

It's not clear what you're using to cool the CPU but if it's inadequate the CPU will overheat very quickly and shut down on protections. 5600X's usually come with a basic cooler that would be enough.

So, assuming you do have adequate cooling mounted inside the case: also try each DIMM individually in each socket individually. Be sure they are FULLY inserted, with a click after pushing on each end.

Yep I used the rename utility on the drive, and then left only the cap file. I have not tried resetting the CMOS so I will try that.

I tried the flashback with everything installed so the loop was running and cooling the CPU but as I bought the CPU as an OEM it didn't come with a stock cooler. Because of that I didn't try to run the system without a cooler although did try without the CPU installed at all which still didn't work. I think I might get a stock wraith cooler just for testing this as it'll be worth the effort.

Thanks for the reply mate I will get back to you when I can test the CMOS reset :)
