Hi I used to have a 960 gtx nvidia installed and the display was able to run on 144hz on a vga cable. Now I installed a 1080 ti and it only allows hdmi cables. So I am using a hdmi 2.0 cable and now I can't pick 144hz but they gave me these option of 50 hertz and 28 hertz, interlaced which I never seen before.

Solution
Which monitor?

What vga cable allowed you 144Hz? Only Dvi-D, Displayport support 144Hz and some cases Hdmi depending on monitor and resolution. Vga as in dsub specific wont do 144Hz.

What 1080Ti model do you have? I doubt it only has Hdmi. There should be Displayport.

If you can, elaborate what connections were used previously with the 960, confirm monitor and 1080Ti model.
