my PC wont play anything. any type of video or audio file just doesn't play at all, even browser based videos and music like youtube or soundcloud aren't working and I'm not really sure what could be causing this at all
I meant removing all drivers, not just headset drivers, but audio drivers from the motherboard(or audio card if you have one), and try again, without installing any drivers, I know the sound won't work.
What is the problem, they don't run at all, they don't have sound, also what happens when you try to open it with a player?
well when i try to open them I get a freeze frame from the very first frame of the video and on youtube it just buffers forever, also I just noticed that sound in games and such is also not working
Can you try uninstalling all your audio drivers and then running a video again?
I uninstalled the drivers but the drivers for my headset require a restart to be removed, so without removing those I tried and it still didn't work, and of course when I did restart my PC to remove them all the drivers got reinstalled but its still not working
my headset drivers are
turtlebeach z60 gaming audio
turtlebeach z60 chat audio
(it has two separate volume wheels one for chat like skype and discord and anther for everything else)

The drivers for your graphics card/GPU are properly installed and working?
I could also think of missing media codecs (though that shouldn't happen on modern Windows installations anymore). Check for h264 and h265 (aka HEVC) codecs, as those are often used.

okay so I uninstalled all audio drivers apart from realtek High Definition Audio (it requires a reboot)
and unplugged my headset and the sound is working, so would the issue be my headset and if so how could I fix it?
so now i just decided to test plugging my headset back in and allowing it to reinstall itself, and its working! I guess it was just a case of a faulty/missing driver?
Hm, thought so, well the problem is with the audio drivers, I'm not sure how to fix it or if they are properly supported. Unfortunately you will have to contact the turtlebeach support for that.
