Can't Play High Resolution Videos

Hi! I'm new to these forums, and I have always went here to get solutions to my software problems.

But now I have a new problem.

I just recently updated my AMD graphics driver from E2 Vision.... something (I'm reading this from the sticker of my netbook) to the new AMD Catalyst 15.7 Driver. Now my HD 1080p videos are not working. I have two downloaded media players in my computer (K-Lite Codec Pack w/ Media Player Classic and VLC Media Player). When I play an MP4 video on Media Player Classic no video comes out, only audio. When I play the same format on VLC, it gets all buffery and weirdly pixelated. For MKV videos on Media Player Classic it no longer responds and needed to close. For VLC the file format has the same effect as MP4. The K-Lite Codec Pack worked before I updated my driver by the way.

Later on I tried updating my Media Player Classic into the new one, but the problem persists for both file formats. Then I tried to uninstall both the new version of Media Player Classic and the K-Lite Coded Pack and then reinstalled a "Mega" K-Lite Codec Pack. The result for the MP4 files is that there's now video, but the video is in slow motion and lagging (even though the decrease speed button was not pressed) and not in sync with the audio. It still doesn't work.

What am I supposed to do? I've read in several forums while I was searching an answer to this is to uninstall the K-lite pack because too much codecs would cause confusion.

Here are my specs:
OS: Windows 7 Home Basic
Processor: AMD E-450 APU with Radeon HD Graphics 1.65 GHz
System Type: 64-bit OS
Display Drive: AMD Radeon HD 6320 Graphics

UPDATE 1:
I've tried the solution in this thread:
http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/293943-33-play-videos-efficiently

It's smoother now, but it still is out of sync. However I want it to be as smooth as before.

UPDATE 2:
I've uninstalled all the codecs and downloaded media players in my computer EXCEPT my Windows 7 Codec Pack and what seems to be a Media Player Classic Software that came with the Real Alternative software. The MP4 files seem to work faster but there's suddenly frequent pixelated inter-meshing.

Please give me your solutions. If you guys are asking for any more specs that I didn't list so you can find a solution please do so. Thanks! :)

I know your asking about software, but I think It's your CPU. My phone can't play 1080p at 60 hz because the processor is too slow. You should consider a better CPU, because that one must be from many years back. If you want a cheap alternative just for video and web browsing, here are a processor and mobo I would recommend:

AMD FX-4300
http://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-DDR3-Micro-Motherboard-GA-78LMT-USB3/dp/B009FC3YJ8/
AM3+ Motherboard

Both together are ~$130 varying on websites, that will tie you over for about as long as your old one. Hope I helped :)

I don't think it's my CPU. Before I updated my driver my MP4 and MKV videos were working smoothly and properly on my more than 3-year old netbook.

Also I don't to buy anything for my computer because I'm trying to save up money. Sorry... 🙁

Ya I didn't know it was a notebook, so that new hardware wouldn't work with the size. I don't know much about that type of processor or graphics but it sounds like if you can, just revert back to the old driver. My laptop has integrated graphics and I had to revert to an old driver to fix a problem not playing games right, and it fixed it. You should try do that unless you like watching stuttering video.

How do you revert to the old driver? I think my old driver before I updated AMD was AMD VISION Engine Control Center. To be honest I update my AMD driver because I couldn't open the VISION Control Center to anti-alias my games.

It seems the update was a double-edged sword - I have smooth performance and performance-graphics balance when I'm playing my games, but I can't play my high-res videos anymore.

P.S. Can you take note of my second update there and what can you make of it? Thanks. :)

I don't know what games you play but I'm guessing you don't play GTA V on ultra settings with your CPU :). I don't know what's going on in your 2nd update as I've never heard or had anything like that happen to me. Anyways, for the driver, go to the AMD website:
http://support.amd.com/en-us/download#
and go to the "manually select your driver" box and fill out your system info. For some reason it kept resetting on my computer so try and see if it works. and do you know what driver you had before you updated? I can look for it online.

I mentioned it's AMD VISION Engine, is it? But if you're asking for the version, it's AMD (Mobility? - I read they're for notebooks typically) Raedon HD 6320 Graphics ver.8.882.0.0000

The games I play in my computer are mostly Paradox Interactive Games. They require less processing power to perform but lag when you hit the highest settings.

UPDATE: I tried to find an installation for my old driver (or at least one based on a generic product's specs using the same model) and I stumbled upon this - an installer for my old AMD card.

I uninstalled my new one and installed that^. However while I was installing it there was an error on the log saying that the Microsoft Visual C++... something failed to install. Now not only can't I open the VISION Control center, but also my videos, my games and my pictures. Whenever I tried to open visual media it always says it is "not responding". I've rebooted my computer several times but nothing works. Can anyone help please? I hope you've found a more proper installer than the one I found on Google. 🙁
