Can't play old low res games in 1080p screen

I installed these games I had in my old laptop, they worked fine since my old laptop's screen was 1366x768 my new laptop has a 1920x1080 screen and when I open them the screen lowers its resolution, usually at 800x600 it looks big and blurry the game won't go into fullscreen and I can't play it cause the screen looks off. After I close the game all the other windows I had open become smaller, the font looks small too I have to close them so they look normal again. I can only play these games if I manually lower the resolution before playing the game, is there anyway to fix this without having to change it every single time I want to play?

Look to see if the onboard gfx has an upscaling option to resize the game to fit the screen.

It may be that even this wont help; if the game is badly written - as so may are, it wont use the display drivers correctly and nothing will help.

Well it looks like I fixed my own problem, after hours of reading possible solutions I found this: https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/bug-report/n9Fsfxwp-fix-for-scaling-problems-high-resolution-monitors-hidpi-2k-4k-displays-fix and it seems to work, the screen still resizes itself but it goes into fullscreen and I can play the games, also when I close them the windows and fonts no longer look small.
