Hi! I am trying to play skyrim through steam. I installed it but when I tried to run it it showed "running", "synching", then stopped. After some searching I found out it might have something to do with directx not installing properly.
So I went into the game files and tried running the DXSETUP file. It started doing its thing but suddenly it stopped and an error message popped up saying
An internal system error occurred.
Plese refer to DXError.log and DirectX.log.
In those logs it said that access was denied during the install (which I found weird since I am the only user and admin on the machine).
Does anyone know what I could try next?
