can't play video (on hard disk) or games

After updating the driver AMD hd radeon 5000 to 5470. I am not able to do anything that requires display graphics. it says the current driver "is working properly". the update was totally computer's decision, I just asked it to check for updates and i did it part. Everything was perfect before, now nothing works.
But some times Iam able to play videos but that to rarely.
when I play a video or anything it chrash!!.

You may have a bad video card or power supply. If you were running on default drivers the card may not have been using all the features. Once it started to use more silicon, it hit faulty components and is crashing.

Just make sure that you have the right driver for your model card and that the system is not overheating. If those look correct, test another video card with the system with similar power use and test your card in another computer.
