Greetings

WinXP sp1
Leadtek Win2000XP
Latest Winfast PVR
Asus GeForce4 MX440 graphics card
Using 4 Winfast TV2000 XP WDM drivers

When I start Winfast PVR I get the message "can't preview video
stream"
All the audio / FM tuner etc is fine
Can't get stream in other application either, like Ulead Video Studio
- says to check the drivers.

Went to Leadtek site and downloaded latest drivers and PVR and made no
difference.

This was working just fine until a week ago. Then suddenly broken. No
new hardware. Installed RealPlayer which broke things so rolled back
to a DriveImage that was only 24 hours old - the only thing that
stayed broken was PVR.

Can anyone make any suggestions. I have emailed Leadtek a number of
times with no results and don't seem to be able to access their online
FAQ's from a couple of different machines and browsers so I don't know
where to start.

Many thanks

dEb

These sort of things can be a pain I know...
I would try removing all the software and drivers for the card. Power down
and remove the card. Restart. Shutdown. Reinstall the card. Restart. Install
using the disk that came with it - I find sometimes the later drivers break
more thing than they fix.

OK - thanks for your reply.

I have also found out in the meantime that there is a particular order
that things have to be installed with this particular TV card - I have
not worked out why it suddenly stopped working, though.

However, I will be working through the right order, including removing
and reinstalling the card. I think there is some issue with the order
of installatino of the graphics card too. Not being able to watch
television is such a non issue that I almost can't be bothered, but if
it's there I want it fixed eventually.
