im running an e4600 @2.4 ghz 4 gb ram 500 gb hd x1550 512 mg vid all on a ecs gf7100pvt-m3.problem is the bios on this board only lets ya increase the FBS in huge jumps.i run stock on 800FBS i believe and the next step up in bios is 1066 or somthing like that amd at that setting it wont post.iv tried software to increase FSB but cant get anyof them to work and i cant read the pll chip number all i can see is that it is a realtek chip.please any help you guys can give me would be great.incase you havent already figured out im new to CPU overclocking but i really need to get this e4600 running at 3.0ghx.thx in advance.i can be reached directly via msnéhotmail at (dan-man-26@hotmail.com):)

I happen to have that exact motherboard. Bought it as part of a package deal from Frye's. It was $200 and Frye's tossed in a free Q6600.

Or maybe I have that backwards ... :)

If your CPU chip will not run at one full FSB jump upward, you are out of luck. That's about the only way to overclock the things.

{JSC} can you read the pll number on the pll chip on your board? there are programs that let you increase the FSB in small increments i believe but you need to knoe the PLL number and i cant read it on my chip.all i can see is that it is a realtek chip.if you could have a look at the board and tell me the number that would be a great help.thz in advance

I'll try. The board is in my computer at work, and this is my weekend.

I haven't looked for a PLL chip in years. Can you send my a picture showing where it is?
