Hello guys~ SO, I recently dropped a kraken G10 on my HIS 7950 and added a third monitor. The temps are awesome compared to before BUT if I raise my Memory clock, the GPU WONT throttle. On idle ( Because of the 3 monitors ( not in eyefinity btw)) the clocks are 500 Core and 1250 mhz. But raising my memory clock even by +5, then my core clock remains at 500 instead of the 1100 that I have it overclocked too even at 100% load. If I leave it at default mem clock ( 1250) Then my GPU throttles properly at full load. I dont have any sinks on the ram YET. Could that be the case here? Maybe my Power supply? o: It didn't have this problem on the stock cooler.
My setup:
Currently running the latest 15.5 beta ( Same problem on 14.12. Havn't tried rolling back to 14.9)
Windows 8.1 64 bit
Asus M5a97 R2.0 Mobo
Fx 6300 @ 4.5ghz (hyper 212)
8gb (2x4gb) hyper X Blue @2230Mhz
HIS Radeon hd 7950/Kraken G10/ H75
( Currently clocked at 1100/1250, But I would prefer my 1100/1300** instead. )
Antec 550w psu (Vp550F)
Monitor Setup:
Main monitor is a 1080p monitor (Dvi)
a Landscape 1400x900(hdmi to dvi)
and a portait 1400x900 ( mini displayport to vga)
