Can't reach trident z RGB 3000 mhz get 2933 mhz

Hi everyone,

I have an ASRock b350m hdv a ryzen 3 1200 overclocked to 4000mhz and 1 stick of trident z RGB 8gb 3000mhz, I tried with some tutorials to make the ram runs at 2933 MHz manually because factory comes to 2133mhz I assign the latencys and the voltage accorded (1.350v) save the changes and it restart 3 times enter the BIOS and the ram speed is at 2133mhz, I tried with the xmp and the same thing yesterday I tried 2666 with xmp and starts fine then 2800 and started fine but when I reset the PC again the same thing happens again reset 3 times and the speed changed to 2133mhz what can I do? I don't know much about OC, but have you update the BIOS? I have same issues back months ago, and since I update the BIOS to the latest, i can get to 3200 Mhz with no issues

Thanks for your answer when I get home I'm gonna update the BIOS and see what happens

I think that's expected for that board (and possibly all AM4 boards?). If you look at the support page, all 3000 MHz RAM runs at 2933 MHz.

Edit: Sorry, I read your post too fast and didn't see that 2933 MHz was not stable. Definitely update your BIOS as said above.

Yeah but I cannot reach to that speed only to 2800 unestable
