Can't Read DVD ROM

A few years ago I backed-up some important data onto some DVD-R discs. I'm trying to read these discs in my current PC running Win10 but in explorer it appears that there is a 1k audio track on the disc rather than any data, and when vieiwng "My Computer" is says 0 bytes free of 0 bytes - CDFS.

I've tried on another PC with similar results. How can I gian access to the data, I have 4 discs and all behave in the same manner.

If disks are dirty/scratched you can try to clean/buff them with clean micro-fiber cloth.

Outside of that there is nothing you can do.
You cant uncorrupt the data on a DVD.

Just seems odd that 4 discs would all have suffered the same fate when they have been say on a spindle in storage, 1 of the 4 maybe but all seems like a long shot.

Sounds more like the computer/drive that wrote them was not functioning right, did you test/use the discs after they were burned?
