Pease help, I remember few details about a 2D RPG game(on pc) but I can't remember the name. I'll repeat it, but there was many other games whithin the game. The most important was a card game, something close to Hearstone or Magic. To be able to play (and win) you had to find actual good cards across alllllll the map. Since its so unique, anyone who have played/whatched the game should at least remember that. Please don't mind all the grammar errors
I first saw it played by a popular youtuber (can't remember who) years ago. It was pretty unique, since there was a lot of differents game mechanics that you HAD to go trough because it was part of the story. For instance, I vaguely remember a part of the story where, towards the end, you had to fly to an island where you would have to go through a turn based strategy minigame (you know, like you have to move units on a squared field on your turn and then its your opponent's turn and the winner is the one who killed all the ennemy's units). Through out the story, there was also a lot of puzzles to solve.
Also, I remember the character walking ON the map to travel to one place to another. Reaching certain area, you would enter the city, the town or whatever it is
I think the story revolved around stopping a big explosion or something like that ; I remember that huge crater somewhere in the center of the map that would appear toward the middle of the story. (I think it was the starter town, the character's town, that got nuked)
I think you also visit a science facility and I think they were studying a time breach or an abnormal phenomenon. You even had, if I recall correctly, to enter this time breach or whatever it is at some point. Next, I do remember you could be stuck a pretty long time trying to figure out where to go next, because sometime you would have to come back to area, town or city that you already visited. Talking about city, there was a scene where you would enter an inn/pub and there would be other mini games, one being a card game like heartstone or magic. To get these cards, you had to search across the whole map, nail challenge and minigames, talk to NPC and do side quests. I remember that card game was something pretty neat and pretty unique since it was whitin the very game.
There was also this place where you would go through a forest, hunted by spirits to get a needed item for the main quest. (can't remember what it was tho, but they were multiple things like that to get)
What else can I say... there was a lot of zelda references, as well as other known game... and when I say a lot, I mean A LOT.
I would say the story was pretty interresting, and also pretty long to get through. As for the graphics, it was nothing too fancy, quite pixelated as you would expect from a 2d retro looking game.
Anyways thanks for reading through, I hope I provided enough details for you guys to find out what game it is, even tho my descriptions is unclear.
