Can't remember a pc game's name

Somebody please help! I'm trying to find an old pc game. You could choose to be a wizard or a combat. In each stage you had to find 3 gemstones and then find a door to continue to the next stage. It was 2D, you could move between floors, you cold find a potion to make you live longer. You had to kill many enemies such as a warm, skeleton etc... after each stage you got a password that contained pictures of potion, fire, wizard, stone, warm etc. It was from the 90's or 2000's
