Question Cant remember An old strategy game

All I remember is that there was two armies facing
It had naked swordsman N fired up elephants N peasants N more kind of soldiers which u kinda bought N u had to face another army

How long ago did you play the game? Can you remember which company produced the game? What were the graphics and interface like? Was it something like Empire Earth?

There are many games that can match that description, age of empires is a big one in that space, really any type of RTS that is not sci fi or modern.
