Can't remove stock AMD backplate, so I can install new Hyper 212 EVO.

I have the AMD heatsink currently off, but this blue backplate held on by plastic pegs will not come off in anyway. I need to remove it in order to install the Hyper 212's backplate. Can anyone help me out with this?

Yeah, wrong board or not, I have a similar problem although mine is brass, not plastic, and with no info online, finding this only frustrated me. Even if you just moved the thread to the proper boards and left a link maybe.
