Cant reset windows 10

Im using a laptop and over the years it started slowing down from issues or viruses and i want to reset it.When i try to reset it it says instert windows key media..smth like that. i only have 1 llaptop cant i just reset it? pls helP

I think you're trying to do a reset when you want a refresh

Are you going to settings/update & security/recovery/Reset this PC? that shouldn't ask for a key

if Reset is not working, I would suggest a fresh install instead. Download the Windows 10 media creation tool and use it to make a win 10 installer on USB

go to settings/update & security/recovery/advanced startup - click the restart PC now button
this loads advanced startup
put USB into PC
choose Use a device and select USB from list
PC will reboot and run the installer

when you reach screen asking for licence, click "I don't have a key" and win 10 will continue to install and reactivate once finished

On the screen where you choose where to install win 10, if it gives you an error about GPT drives, delete all the partitions on the hdd and press next. If it still gives error, cancel out of the installer and restart PC and start installer again, it will accept next on that screen this time (some PC just need a restart here)
